Interior Images

Yesterday, I promised I’d have some interior work done and ready to show you.

Well, I do.

Here’s the first rendition:

Bembo Book for body text, Parklane for headers, foots, and title.

I like Bembo, the font we used for the body text. It’s legible and easy on the eyes. Even better, it’s a 1928 redesign of an old (1495) font, which kind of dove tails with the whole “revival” feel of Dieselpunk in general.

Here’s the second set up. This one uses Limelight.

Bembo body text, Limelight title, header, and footer.

I like Limelight because it’s legible, but it’s a little too bubbly looking to me. I need to print it out and look at the text side by side so I can get a real comparison. Legibility is definitely better, but it just seems to me that it loses a little bit of the sleekness that Parklane has.

Oh well. That’s where I’m at right now. I’m thinking of doing a series of different layouts in a throw away book and compare all the short stories side by side.

Okay, back to work.
