Yesterday, I promised I’d have some interior work done and ready to show you.
Well, I do.
Here’s the first rendition:
I like Bembo, the font we used for the body text. It’s legible and easy on the eyes. Even better, it’s a 1928 redesign of an old (1495) font, which kind of dove tails with the whole “revival” feel of Dieselpunk in general.
Here’s the second set up. This one uses Limelight.
I like Limelight because it’s legible, but it’s a little too bubbly looking to me. I need to print it out and look at the text side by side so I can get a real comparison. Legibility is definitely better, but it just seems to me that it loses a little bit of the sleekness that Parklane has.
Oh well. That’s where I’m at right now. I’m thinking of doing a series of different layouts in a throw away book and compare all the short stories side by side.
